π-Joint is a mechanically optimised multi-piece ferrule connection system designed to preserve the portability of a travel rod while maintaining the rigidity, action continuity, and load distribution of a one-piece blank as much as possible.

Compared with conventional ferrule designs, the π-Joint structure increases tensile strength at the connection area by more than 30%, helping reduce the risk of joint slippage or ferrule failure when fighting larger fish.

Optimised Force Transmission

The π-Joint uses a three-point positioning structure combined with circular load transfer. At the ferrule connection, precision-matched π-shaped raised and recessed contact surfaces create three evenly distributed support points.

This allows longitudinal pulling force and lateral bending moment to transfer more evenly through the joint and into the blank, reducing the risk of stress concentration at a single contact point.

Matched Material Construction

The ferrule area is constructed using high-strength carbon fibre composite material matched to the main blank structure. Localised carbon fibre density reinforcement is applied around the joint area to ensure the connection maintains strength comparable to the main blank.

This improves joint stability, durability, and long-term performance in demanding fishing conditions.

NEOTOP is a specially tuned glass-fibre tip section designed to give the rod a softer, more elastic response at the very front of the blank.

By adding a refined glass-fibre structure into the tip area, NEOTOP helps the rod load more smoothly during the cast, especially with lighter lures or controlled casting movements. The softer tip stores energy more progressively, then releases it with a cleaner, more natural feel.

On the water, this gives anglers better casting rhythm, improved lure control, and a more forgiving tip response when working lures or absorbing sudden pressure from a fish. It is designed to add flexibility where it matters, while allowing the main blank to retain the power and control needed for real fishing conditions.
