Hunter 3-Piece Fishing Rod

Mid-to-high end inshore light lure rod, built for young Australian anglers who crave refined casting feel and crisp twitch bite feedback. Perfect for long-distance casting from jetties and breakwalls, light jigging and minnow twitching on boats. Target species include Australian Salmon, juvenile Kingfish, Bream, young Cobia and light-take trolling fish. Versatile dual-use performance works equally well in freshwater.

Lightweight and portable construction, engineered for fatigue-free all-day fishing. It features a highly sensitive tip paired with a powerful mid-to-rear backbone. Despite its light blank, it delivers reliable fish-stopping capability when battling big fish. The casting model comes equipped with KA’s proprietary titanium guide frames — lightweight and saltwater corrosion resistant. Matched with premium guide rings offering excellent heat dissipation for extended service life.

Field-tested and refined by over 50 local Australian pro anglers, the Hunter Series utilises KA’s custom carbon layup. Constructed from 30T + 40T high-modulus carbon cloth combined with exclusive 5DKA 3D Cross Weave, a hybrid carbon and nano-carbon fibre construction. X45 and upgraded X45X anti-torsion wrapping drastically reduces blank twist during casting and fish fighting for direct power transfer. The X45X variant delivers a 25% improvement in transmission efficiency.

Innovative Π-Joint ferrule technology eliminates the “dead spot” common in multi-piece rods, delivering bending performance nearly identical to a one-piece blank. It adopts a 3-piece plus extension section layout with a detachable two-handed handle. Ergonomically sculpted high-density contoured EVA grips increase hold friction and reduce arm strain during prolonged fish fights. Upgraded size 40 top guide enables smoother long-distance casting.
Supplied as standard with FUJI guides + KA custom titanium frames. KA’s bespoke titanium alloy formulation boosts hardness by 25%, corrosion resistance by 15% and cuts weight by 10%, fully optimised for saltwater fishing environments.
