KAOZ ANGLER LIMITED WARRANTY - AUSTRALIA
At KaozAngler, we engineer our rods and reels to perform with precision and reliability—trip after trip, cast after cast. We stand behind the craftsmanship of our gear with a limited warranty that reflects our commitment to quality and innovation for Australian anglers.
Important: This limited warranty applies to KaozAngler rods and reels purchased in Australia by the original retail purchaser for personal, recreational use only.
1. Warranty Coverage
For original purchasers in Australia:
- Reels are covered for a period of 5 years from the original date of purchase.
- Rods are covered for a period of 2 years from the original date of purchase.
This warranty is valid only for the original owner and covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal, recreational use.
If a product issue arises that falls under warranty coverage, KaozAngler will, at its discretion:
- repair or replace reels, or
- replace rods (rods are not repaired under this limited warranty),
at no charge for parts and labour. You are responsible for the cost of shipping and insurance to KaozAngler. For approved warranty claims, KaozAngler will cover the cost of return shipping back to you.
This limited warranty operates in addition to any rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. What’s Not Covered
This limited warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage due to misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper use
- Damage resulting from modification or alteration of the product
- Damage arising from failure to perform reasonable care and maintenance
- Damage occurring during freight or transport arranged by the consumer
- Products used commercially or for charter/rental purposes
- Rods or reels that have been modified or repaired by an unauthorised third party
Products exhibiting damage of this nature are not covered under this warranty and will be returned at the consumer’s expense, except where otherwise required by law.
Rods
KaozAngler does not offer repair services or replacement parts for rods under this limited warranty. If a rod is found to be defective in materials or workmanship within the warranty period, it will be replaced with the same model or, if unavailable, with a comparable model determined by KaozAngler.
3. How to Make a Warranty Claim
To keep the process simple and consistent, all rod and reel warranty claims begin with an email assessment.
Step 1 – Email Your Claim
Please email the following details to support@kaozangler.com.au:
- Your full name
- Order number or proof of purchase (invoice or receipt)
- Product details (rod or reel model)
- A brief description of the fault or how the issue occurred
- Clear photos showing:
- The overall product, including the KaozAngler brand and model marking
- The damaged or affected area(s)
- Your shipping address and daytime contact number
Our team will review your claim and let you know whether it appears to be covered under this limited warranty, or whether further information is required.
Step 2 – Receive Return Instructions
If your claim is provisionally approved, we will email you:
- The return address or approved service centre details, and
- Any reference number or additional instructions required for processing.
Important:
Please do not send rods or reels back to KaozAngler until you have received our confirmation and return instructions. Rods or reels requiring warranty service should only be shipped to the address or service centre specified by KaozAngler.
Step 3 – Send the Product (If Requested)
If we ask you to return the product:
- Pack the rod or reel securely to prevent damage in transit.
- Ship it using a trackable method (for example, Australia Post with tracking or a reputable courier service). You may choose to add insurance at your discretion.
- You are responsible for the cost of shipping and insurance to KaozAngler.
Once the product has been assessed and an approved warranty claim is confirmed:
- Rods will be replaced with the same or a comparable model.
- Reels will be repaired or replaced at KaozAngler’s discretion.
For approved warranty claims, KaozAngler will cover the return shipping of the repaired or replacement item back to you.
4. Your Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods are supplied with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Those guarantees may entitle you to remedies beyond what is set out in this limited warranty, depending on the circumstances (for example, in the case of a major failure).
This limited warranty is intended to sit alongside—not replace or limit—your rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law.
Important for Compliance:
Australian law requires specific mandatory wording to be included in documents that offer a “warranty against defects” (like this page).

- KaozAngler’s obligations under this limited warranty are limited to the repair or replacement of rods and reels found to be defective in materials or workmanship within the relevant warranty period.
- KaozAngler is not responsible for any indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of our products, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
