NAUTIC 3-PIECE TRAVEL LIGHT POPPING ROD

Nautic is a 3-piece travel boat rod built for saltwater light popping, combining a full 7'10" / 240 cm fishing length with an 86 cm packed length for easier travel. It uses a Toray T800 carbon fiber and S-Glass blank, Full-X-Cross reinforcement, a π-Joint ferrule system, and a Fuji saltwater hardware package to keep the rod connected, stable, and clean through the cast. Rated MH / Fast for PE #4-8 line, and 60-100 g lures, Nautic is made for anglers targeting tuna, GT, school mackerel, and other hard-running pelagics from boats, reef edges, beaches, and rocks. For anglers who want travel convenience without giving up real saltwater power, Nautic is the practical light-popping option in the range.

OVERVIEW

3-piece travel light popping rod

NAUTIC

Travel light popping for Australian saltwater.

Bait balls move fast. So do tuna, GT, school mackerel, and the boats chasing them. Nautic brings full-length saltwater casting reach to a rod that packs down for travel.

86 cm Packed length for flights, road trips, boat transfers, and remote saltwater sessions.
8'00" / 244 cm Full fishing length for casting reach, faster line pickup, and lure control.
PE 4-8 Recommended line rating for active pelagics and saltwater light popping.
60-100 g Practical lure range for poppers, stickbaits, and casting jigs.
Reach the feed, stay in control

Reach moving bait schools without losing line control.

When fish push bait to the surface, Nautic has to do more than launch a lure. The full 8'00" / 244 cm blank helps pick up line quickly, manage wind, chop, and current, and stay composed when a fish loads the rod at speed.

320 g Light enough for repeated casting while keeping saltwater blank support in reserve.
Boat / beach / rock Longer line angle control from decks, shore breaks, reef edges, and elevated rocks.
Wind, chop, current Cleaner pickup keeps poppers, stickbaits, and casting jigs working through moving water.
GT / tuna / mackerel Medium Heavy power helps steer fast pelagics away from structure.
Built for distance, feel, and pelagic control

A blank that loads cleanly and stays composed.

Nautic combines Toray T800 carbon fibre, Full-X-Cross reinforcement, and the UniFlow Guide System to balance response, stability, and smoother load transfer through a 3-piece blank.

01

Carbon Fiber Matrix

Toray T800 carbon gives Nautic a crisp, responsive base for repeated saltwater casting while keeping practical strength in reserve for PE 4-8 work.

02

Full-X-Cross

Longitudinal 0°, hoop 90°, and opposing 45° carbon layers help reduce blank twist, improve power transfer, and sharpen recovery.

03

UniFlow Guide System

Guide quantity and placement are tuned around how the blank bends under load, supporting smoother pressure distribution and cleaner line flow.

π-Joint Ferrule System
Three-piece freedom. One connected load path. The real test of a travel saltwater rod is whether its joints stay rigid, aligned, and trustworthy when the blank is fully loaded.

Nautic uses the π-Joint ferrule system to help a multi-piece blank stay connected, rigid, and trustworthy when the rod is fully loaded.

30%+ Higher tensile strength at the connection area versus conventional ferrule designs.
3-point Precision-matched contact surfaces distribute support around the joint.
Carbon matched Localised carbon density reinforcement keeps the ferrule stable in saltwater use.

Raised and recessed contact surfaces combine with circular load transfer, reducing stress concentration and preserving action continuity as much as possible across the multi-piece blank.

MH Medium Heavy / Fast action.
Power without a harsh cast

Backbone for pelagics. Tip feel for surface lures.

The Medium Heavy / Fast action loads smoothly through repeated 60-100 g casts, gives direct lure input for stickbaits, poppers, and casting jigs, then holds lower-blank leverage when tuna, GT, school mackerel, or other hard-running fish turn under pressure.

1K woven carbon fiber reinforcement Small-tow woven carbon supports waist strength, cleaner recovery, and controlled laminate thickness.
NEOTOP tuned tip A special glass-fibre blend improves resilience and elasticity while keeping lure control responsive.
Fuji saltwater hardware package

Line flow, reel security, and durability for long sessions.

Nautic uses Fuji KW K-frame guides with Fuji Alconite rings in an 8+1 layout, selected for PE braid, larger spinning reels, repeated lure work, and sustained pressure on fish.

Guide frame Fuji KW K-frame guides

Double-foot K-series frames add support and help manage loose coils during hard casts.

Guide rings Fuji Alconite rings

Smooth, durable rings matched to PE braid and heavier casting work.

Line release 8+1 / size 40 bottom guide

Improves line flow with 8000-14000 class spinning reels and heavier lures.
