Vortis X8 Braid Line - Blue

KaozAngler’s first braided line, Vortis X8 Braid Line, has officially arrived. Built from premium Japan-made ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibre, it combines three core traits: a supple body, a silky-smooth feel and uncompromising strength.

The line surface is treated with our Slick+ Coating, which dramatically reduces friction between the line and the guides. Vortis Braid Line shoots through the guides lighter and cleaner, with a more stable casting flight and naturally increased casting distance. At the same time, the coating gives the braid excellent hydrophobic properties, so it is far less prone to picking up water, silt or suspended particles. That slows wear and corrosion and extends the service life of the line.

What really sets this braid apart is its MG Weave. The braiding density is significantly higher than on conventional braids. The high-density 8-strand construction gives the line a fuller, rounder profile that is less prone to fuzzing or flattening, which in turn enhances abrasion resistance. Internal gaps are heavily compressed, so the line is much less likely to “take on water”, keeping both the feel in hand and the way it runs through the guides consistently dry and smooth.

Vortis Braid Line also incorporates Silka Tech to maintain a highly consistent diameter along the entire length of the line. Whether you are feeding line or winding it back on, it is laid more evenly and stays more stable on the spool. The feedback you get when casting, working the rod and controlling the line remains continuous and predictable, improving overall handling stability and precision.

Visually, Vortis Braid Line comes in our exclusive Royal Blue colourway: discreet and unobtrusive underwater, yet clearly visible above the surface so you can track your line and read every movement with confidence. The Vortis Braid Line range covers ratings from 18 lb (PE 1) through to 130 lb (PE 12), built to handle everything from finesse techniques to full-blown power fishing.
